As survivalists we spent a lot of time talking about Bug Out Bags & Get Home Bags…a lot. Probably too much.
Your every day carry is just as important if not more so than your larger kit bags. In this video, we turn the camera on Jon Faulkner and Chris Weatherman with a quick no warning spot check…
They empty their pockets and show us what they have on them as part of their daily system. Chris and Jon each have their own personal tastes, but at the end of the day always carry several things in common:
- Knife
- Small multi-tool or keychain tools
- Flashlight
- Simple medical kit with tourniquet
- Self defense firearm
Both of these guys have a backpack with them the vast majority of time to extend their available kit as well.

My EDC is a CRKT fossil flipper right front pocket, a cold steel AK47 large model right rear pocket, a blast match (I like the one handed usefulness)right front pocket a leatherman micra on my key chain, a leatherman wingman multi tool with pocket clip left front pocket, and a SOG powerlock multitool left rear belt pouch, I usually have 2-3 bic lighters and a Bushnell 300 lumen flashlight on a belt clip, I wear cotton t shirts that can be used if sliced into thin strips as tinder. I can’t carry a firearm at work but I do have my bonds arms .45/.410 derringer when not at work, while at work it’s locked in my truck.
Great video!
Nice to see others EDC, thanks
Olight s1r and soe wallet
Great article. I’m in south Florida so typically have a very stripped down edc for things on my person — keys, phone, knife, firearm. However, I keep a Condor T&T pouch to fit the other items which works well because it can be thrown into a backpack or clipped into shoulder harness and quickly converts to a chest pack. Very versatile piece of gear for less than $25!
I EDC one of my Benchmade knives, small flashlight and a gerber keychain tool. When possible my small 9mm pistol.
Win an XAR Invicta Folding Rifle by F&D Defense – the fastest deploying and most reliable compact rifle system available. sounds like a good deal check it out!!
Very nice.
Nice seeing EDC that includes an IFAK. A lot out there don’t.
My EDC kit consists of a multitool, mini flashlight, lighter, and PPS.
Great video
XDS 45, Benchmade Bedlam, Surefire Titan Plus
Thank you very much!
No matter where I go; I always carry a pocket knife, Sabre Red pepper gel and my Olight S1R Baton. 🙂
My EDK is a leatherman, flashlight, pocket knife, lighter. Everything else is in my 72 hr. BOB in the car. The BOB is to get me home to hunker down. It icludes a FAK, bivey bag, bivey tent, fire making assortment. food, water, shovel, tomahawk, 4 sizes of knives, compass, signal mirror, water tabelets, surgical instruments, light sticks, flashlight, cell phone battery backup, other assorted items & my trusty 1911. My wife’s BOB is about the same minus the shovel, tomahawk & 1911 (her’s is a LCP).
Flashlight, knife, wasp spray.
Great video

Lately I have been packing a pocket pistol with a Benchmade Stryker. Other on/off items include a Leatherman Skeletool, Foursevens Preon 2, and the Benchmade SOCP rescue tool. New thing I am interested in for EDC are the custom-type pens. Never hurts to have a good writing utensil handy (usually have the super cheap kind on hand).
My EDC is just a flashlight and a coffee cup. Maybe it’s time for me to upgrade.
I carry a tactical flashlight, a coldsteel lawman, and several small items on my keyring all the time.
It gets little difficult at times to carry everything I need. So, there are those times you have to give up what you’re carrying and leave the B.O.B. in the car where you know you can get to it.
Chris needs to get his dump together. Haha. No watch? Carrying a 1911 and with no spare mag? Excited for the future of the channel, guys. Keep up the good work.
Really appreciate all you do! Invaluable information!

My edc is my canik
Hard for me to carry daily since I spend most of my days at the hospital and it is not allowed.
Tools are great, but sound judgement is what you really need.

My ed is a 1911 .45 w/ an extended magazine
Everybody wants to put a tourniquet in their EDC. Really?! People must plan on getting into some seriously deep crap to need a dedicated tourniquet instead of just a belt. To each their own though.
Great video guys. Thanks for the pointers
This is a really good system. Thank you for your contest
Most days M&P Shield, extra mag, flash light, knife, and have medical bag’s in every vehicle I own. Other days I have my M&P along with the other thing and sometimes I have both just depends on where I am and what I am doing.
A well thought EDC is always more than just self defense but can be a life saver as well. People should care more about what they have at hand on a daily basis.
I carry about six pounds of tools in my pockets every day.
EDC is coffee, flashlight, and a box cutter.
Flashlight, knife and multi-tool.
My EDC is a S&W 642CT

No medical kit yet. Forbidden to carry firearm where I work. The rule on campus is “hide and prepare to die”
Don’t carry the tourniquet, nor medical kit. Otherwise good to go.

Can’t find my Leatherman anywhere. Driving me nuts.
G19 + 1 mag. Hanks Amish gun belt. Streamlight ProTac. Karambit. IFAK.
I have a G19 gen4 and 5 extra high capacity magazines. Heavy duty medicine kit, solar panel charger, water purifier, small hand crank radio, etc.
The light not including one on your gun is essential!

When I go out, I have the G19, a solid knife, but I don’t have a light until I get that new holster.
I carry all mentioned with me including a huge medical bag. You just never know.
One pistol + magazine, spare magazine, powerful flashlight. In the SUV, I carry two Israeli bandages (quick-clotting), nitrile gloves, and a CPR one-way-valve mini-mask.
