On October 6 an 18-year-old in Minnesota took delivery of a rifle and 200 rounds. His target was a mall festival set for October 24. The FBI had been watching him since December 2024.
For 140 episodes this series warned about a spectacular attack on American soil. This year two governments proved that model was real. American and Israeli strikes have hit Iran since February, and Pakistan hit terror camps across the Afghan border on October 1. Nobody bombs a command structure that does not exist.
What the strikes bought is a smaller attack, not a safer life. The rooms where big plots got planned are rubble. The men who sat in them are alive, and they stopped waiting for orders. The FBI counted 640 disrupted plots in 2025, more than double the 299 it counted in 2020.
The Minnesota case is the shape of it now. One teenager, a $600 rifle in a duffel bag, and a festival with one posted date.
