Capitol Security Task Force Recommends Permanent Military Presence in D.C.
General Honore’, tapped by Pelosi to address security concerns following the January 6th protest, has recommended the establishment of a dedicated Quick Reaction Force (QRF) for the Capitol. The report also calls for the creation of a law enforcement QRF to be assigned to the Capitol Police. The military QRF would be under the control of the D.C. National Guard. The report also states that keeping the National Guard in the Capitol should not be a long-term strategy.
China Seeks Reset of Relations with U.S.
The U.S. and China are planning a meeting to discuss resetting relations. While Biden has not removed any of Trump’s sanctions on China, his connections with China go way, way, back, and it only stands to reason that China would like to see a softer approach from the U.S. One, which, under Biden, they just may get.
COVID Relief Bill Passed by the House Today
The $1.9 trillion relief bill was passed in the House today. Progressives are not happy that they had to compromise with a cut in the direct payments from $2,000 to $1,400, and the federal minimum wage amendment was removed entirely.
Biden’s Gaffes
There is growing concern among many that President Biden’s mental faculties may indeed be in decline. You would certainly think the President of the United States would remember what the Pentagon is called or even the name of his Secretary of Defense. The most recent gaff took place at a hardware store where Biden stared blankly at the owner when the man introduced himself. The President’s handlers quickly tried to usher press out of the area.

Biden’s Immigration Stance Causing Stampede at the Border
With Biden’s reversal of all of Trump’s previous orders on illegal immigrants, there is a stampede of illegals at the border. In just the first quarter of 2021, the total number of those caught trying to enter the country illegally already exceeds 2020’s entire number. The head of I.C.E. is warning that things are only going to get worse. In seven days, 10,000 people were stopped in Texas valley, and, at the direction of the Biden admin, most of them were being released into the country.

U.S. Underestimated China’s Carrier Killer IRBM
In August of last year, China test-fired it’s DF-21D in a training exercise. Admiral Phil Davidson, U.S. commander over the Indo-Pacific region, said the Chinese missile is fully capable of destroying U.S. carrier groups in the western Pacific. He went on to say that the use of such a weapon system in a training event is meant to send a clear message to the U.S. that our carrier groups are vulnerable.
