Politicization of the Military Continues
The U.S. House Committee on Armed Services assembled to discuss how to handle extremism within the ranks of the enlisted men. The debate went straight down party lines as it became evident that House Democrats were trying to use their favorite “Trump Card,” the events of January 6 2021, to strong arm their agenda into policy. The dangerous thing about this policy being that it was an attempt to require an ideological and political purity test to be applied to all enlisted troops.
Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz noted that, “This is about converting the military from an apolitical institution to an institution controlled by the political left.” Much like the purge of police officers following the coordinated attack on their integrity as a profession last summer left police forces depleted across the country. If the Left is successful in their attempt to drive the honest Americans out of the military, it provides them with an opportunity to replace them with those who would carry out any orders from President Biden or any of the other closeted totalitarians in D.C.
Super Powers Allied Against the United States
China and Russia have resigned their “Treaty of Good Neighborliness, Friendship, and Cooperation” from 2001. This is a dangerous geopolitical move for every other country. China has been aggressively building itself up but lacks one natural resource necessary for its developmental progress: oil. Oil is something that Russia has a plentiful supply of which makes this a potentially lucrative deal for Russia and logistically significant for the CCP.
This increases the threat level for not only Taiwan but also most of the Southeast Asian/Archipelago section of the world. The Philippines have seen this coming and have been developing naval bases in order to try and protect the shipping lanes and fishing waters connecting the South China sea to the Pacific. But none of them has the might to resist the Chinese, and they know it. China has been more active than the White House in the first two months of the Biden Administration, and, unless there is a reversal on the part of the CCP soon, things may come to a head in the South China Sea sooner than anticipated.
