How Conservatives Enable Their Own Demise
Without a doubt, the attempt of the left to villainize the police officers who risk their lives to enforce law and order is despicable. They do not deserve the slanderous attacks of being the enforcers of a systemically racist regime, which is an absurd claim to make based on the evidence in any case.
Rightfully those with clearer heads want to defend the innocent officers from these vile attacks. Those moderate democrats and those on the right also realize the obvious reality that without an enforcement aspect of our legal system our entire society is at risk of collapsing. Both are legitimate motivations to defend police officers and are benign in and of themselves.
The issue that has already begun to assert itself in western countries such as Australia is that although police officers are not guilty of being racist murders, it does not mean they will not carry out unjust orders on their fellow citizens.
Those on the political right have defended the enforcement arm of the same government they decry as violating civil, constitutional, and human rights for over a year now. Although without a doubt there are many good-hearted members of our police forces, they have disproportionately been the ones to quit over the last year and a half. What is left is a core of ardent pseudo-militaristic and unscrupulous stormtroopers who will do whatever it takes to get their next paycheck, or ideological fanatics who believe the dictates of the state. Either way, it is bad news for everyday Americans.
This is how we get stories such as, “Paddleboarder chased by boat, arrested in Malibu after flouting coronavirus closures,” from the LA Times. Or, from the Daily Mail, “Female surfer is dragged away by hazmat-wearing officials and arrested on Spanish beach after going in the sea while infected with Covid-19.” No list of Covid-19 enforcement mania would be complete without a story from Australia where, according to the NY Post, “Man reportedly suffers heart attack while cuffed for not wearing mask outside.”
The “Back the Blue” movement has great intentions, however, it makes the mistake of assuming the intentions of the “Blue” are just as great. History and current events tell us a different story. There has been a recent realization among conservatives regarding how entrenched the ideas of Critical Race Theory, white guilt, and Covid-19 hysteria are among both police and military academies.
The sentiment of Gen. Mark Milley is not fringe anymore, it is the mainstream belief among the armed forces and our police officers. Conservatives need to realize, that if these branches of government are ordered to turn their guns on their fellow citizens, you and me, they will follow that order.
Covid-19 Update
“Follow the Science™” … Away from the Vaccine.
Despite the latest development in the Covid Vaccine space, namely that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the vaccine developed by the company which the former Director of the FDA joined, the data seems to be suggesting another course of action.
Although it is hard to cancel out the noise and social pressure surrounding the vaccine, and whether you should get it, to follow the science in the true definition of the term it must be done.
As Nippon News in Japan reported,
Production of Moderna COVID-19 vaccines at a plant in Spain can continue, the European Union drugs regulator said on Friday, while it carries out its investigation of a suspected metallic contamination incident. Japan on Thursday suspended the use of 1.63 million doses shipped to 863 vaccination centres nationwide, more than a week after the domestic distributor, Takeda Pharmaceutical, received reports of contaminants in some vials. The contaminant found in a batch delivered to Japan is believed to be a metallic particle, Japanese public broadcaster NHK reported, citing health ministry sources.
Heavy metals are of course dangerous to individuals health whenever it enters the body, something that has been well documented by the National Institute of Health and others.
Not only is this another potential risk associated with getting the vaccine, but the placebo-controlled studies for the vaccines were corrupted whenever members of the control group were allowed to get the vaccine only months into the study. As NPR reports,
[…] there’s valuable information to be had in the planned two-year follow-up studies. And that motivated Karen Mott, a 56-year-old job counselor who stuck with the continuing study. “I’ve been taking prescription medicine for the last 25 years,” she says, referring to antiseizure drugs she takes. In order to show those drugs worked, people previously volunteered to take them when they were still experimental, “so I felt it was my way of giving back.”
Although this would normally be a huge concern for the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), Fauci has not raised any concern over this violation of standard procedures. This could be in part because his wife, Christine Grady, Chief, Bioethics
Head, Section on Human Subjects Research was the person responsible for this study. A clear conflict in the chain of command for one of the most important medical studies in human history.
All of this impropriety and risk, for a vaccine that according to the latest data from Israel, is less effective than natural immunity. Medrxiv, sponsored by Yale University among other reputable institutions, published a study titled, “Comparing SARS-CoV-2 natural immunity to vaccine-induced immunity: reinfections versus breakthrough infections.” In their results, the authors write,
SARS-CoV-2-naïve vaccinees had a 13.06-fold (95% CI, 8.08 to 21.11) increased risk for breakthrough infection with the Delta variant compared to those previously infected, when the first event (infection or vaccination) occurred during January and February of 2021. The increased risk was significant (P<0.001) for symptomatic disease as well. When allowing the infection to occur at any time before vaccination (from March 2020 to February 2021), evidence of waning natural immunity was demonstrated, though SARS-CoV-2 naïve vaccinees had a 5.96-fold (95% CI, 4.85 to 7.33) increased risk for breakthrough infection and a 7.13-fold (95% CI, 5.51 to 9.21) increased risk for symptomatic disease. SARS-CoV-2-naïve vaccinees were also at a greater risk for COVID-19-related-hospitalizations compared to those that were previously infected.

These findings were reiterated in Science Magazine, “The natural immune protection that develops after a SARS-CoV-2 infection offers considerably more of a shield against the Delta variant of the pandemic coronavirus than two doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, according to a large Israeli study that some scientists wish came with a “Don’t try this at home” label.”
In short, a vaccine that proves to be less effective than natural immunity, for a disease with a median age of death in the mid-80s, whose medical trials were corrupted, and have been contaminated with heavy metals. Given these facts, following the science would lead you away from the traditional path in these situations.
